More than 50 million Americans count on Social Security. Families have built their lives around such benefits for generations.
That's why I have always supported Social Security, fighting opposition to protect these benefits. The following month, I helped achieve cost of living increases for Social Security recipients, and I'm still pushing for even more increases in the months ahead.

But now the GOP is trying to undo this, and push Americans back to a world where retirement is out of reach for all but the ultrawealthy.
